Music Lessons

In addition to being a musical retail store, Lynchburg Music Center has an entire Education Department that specializes in offering a wide variety of high-quality music lessons. Whether you are a beginner, or a seasoned musician looking to improve your technique, we will connect you with the instructor that is right for you.

Benefits

Aside from the sheer enjoyment of playing an instrument, minds of all ages benefit from a musical education.  Children who take music lessons perform better in school, develop stronger discipline, and show improved confidence.  Playing music is even good for adults, benefiting both cognition and memory.  Think of music lessons as weigh-lifting for your brain!

What We Teach

In addition to classical piano and folk guitar, we offer lessons for a variety of instruments.  Our instructors represent almost every instrument and genre, from jazz trumpet to rock drums, bluegrass mandolin to traditional bagpipes.

Rates and Scheduling

Pricing and availability vary by instructor, but generally lessons may be scheduled Monday through Saturday, from 10:00am to 8:30pm.  Each month you will receive four private, half-hour lessons.  Give us a call or stop by our store for current pricing and instructor availability.

Summer Programs

To accommodate busy summer schedules, our Summer Music Pack lets you pick six to eleven dates when you are able to take your lessons.  Vacation all you want and still stay sharp!  Also, look for our School of Rock summer music camp. Click for more information about our School of Rock program.
